An ADHD kid
Telling my story as an Adult

In the Beginning
I am 31-year-old Canadian named Nathaniel Adie. I grew up in a small town not far from Niagara Falls, Canada. I would describe my childhood as difficult. I was not an easy child to raise because of my symptoms of ADHD.

I was an impulsive child. This caused problems with my family, in the classroom and with other children. I was diagnosed with ADHD in the mid-80s at the age of about six. During my diagnosis it was also discovered that I am a bright student. I was slow in some areas involving attention and gifted in others. This made it even harder for me to be placed in a classroom setting that worked for me.

I was a handful to deal with. I spent much of my elementary school years medicated on Ritalin.

When I finished school I moved out to West Coast of Canada with my dreams and my skatebaord of course. You might say that I grew up there where the mountains meet the sea. I learned so much about myself and my condition. I have started a successful business. I am constantly involved in the community. I have received awards and media coverage for my work.

I have truly turned my symptoms of ADHD into my strengths in life. So I decided to start giving back. By telling my story.

How I started working on personal development
and how I found Site Build It

While in Vancouver I got interested some parts of the west coast lifestyle. I became more socially conscious, I learned about new ways of living and I found great joy in them. I went a little bit hippy, but not too much I hope. I developed social and environmental consciousness. I really started to care about the people and world around me. I made me want to see more of the world. Gain new perspectives from different cultures.

I traveled by myself through Europe and then Asia. I had the company of my skateboard and sometimes a bicycle. These travels and adventures changed my life for the better.

In my research on personal growth and I discovered a website called
Personal Development For Smart People. I think it's a wonderful resource for those wanting to improve their life.

One of the great things I discovered from stevepavlina.com was an awesome product called Site Build It. With it you can create a passive income by making an online business. SBI gives you all of the tools to create a high traffic quality web business. It take a lot of work and patience, but it works!

The idea is to create an online resource about something you have great experience with. I thought this is perfect! I decided to create online resource about my life and ADHD. It worked!

I am planning a website about skateboarding now. Something that I truly Love. Can't wait.

What I would like to accomplish with this website

I want to describe this condition and give you the tools needed to take action.

I am working on this resource and getting closer every day.

I think there are a lot of people out there hurting because of conditions like ADHD. For a child diagnosed with ADHD, to be told that your brain doesn't work right and you are not normal is damaging to their self-esteem. I was told be my teachers, doctors and even parents that I had a disability and that my brain wasn't normal.

To me this mean't that I wasn't good enough and I couldn't do well in life. It affected my choices like what classes I took in high school. I thought that is wasn't good enough and that even kept me from going to university. Because of my experiences as a child I thought that I couldn't do it.

I know now that I can do anything that I set my mind to and so can you if you learn from this website and take action.

ADHD Action is for You

I made this website because I don't want others to go through the setbacks that I have. Don’t let others tell you there is something wrong with you. Do not believe that you can’t accomplish things in life. ADHD is not something that will prevent you from achieving your hopes and dreams.

To help parents understand what's happening with Their child. When they are misbehaving and when they get an ADHD Diagnosis. I want them to know that there are many simple options to make the child's life and their life much easier. I want parents to know that they're not alone in the battle. There are millions people going through the same troubles we can learn from their experiences.

For adults with ADHD and want to share tips and tricks I use to get through my day. There are so many things that are very simple to make a world of difference.

Lastly I built this website because I want to take responsibility and ownership of my life. I can help those just like me. Help them to stand up and make their lives better.
