I share the secrets to the winning ADHD Treatment.
ADHD Treatment is where we take the most action. It is all about taking control of our symptoms of ADHD. I have divided this into three sections:
There is a lot of options and treatments for ADHD. I cover it all.
Treatment for ADHD needs planning
Planning is the place between ADHD diagnosis and proper treatment of ADHD that we need to stop and ask questions.
Was my ADHD diagnosis thorough?
Were my symptoms of ADHD identified? Is there any area I could learn more?
Am I aware of all the ADHD treatments that are available to me? Do I know the ups and downs of them?
What are my goals? How's my life being affected currently by ADHD? Am I in crisis or do I just need a little help to get on top of things? What progress would I like to make with managing my ADHD in one week? One month? in a year?
Have I found the best options for me? I know I must be successful. Can I say: I will be successful!
I there are no quick fixes in treating ADHD
There is no cure for ADHD. It will take hard work in all areas of life. Try something simple like getting organized. As you try ADHD treatments and see the results. From time to time you will need to reevaluate what is and isn't working. If something isn't, don't worry. Try something else. Find what works better. If you find you gotten all you can get out of a certain treatment, move on to something new.
Keep trying and you will find the right mix of treatments for you.
Me and ADHD and Treatment
Mine was a bumpy road to success with treating ADHD. I spent many years struggling because we didn’t identify and treat my largest ADHD causes.
I know now that they were. I was a gifted child and my home life was difficult. They things increased my problems with ADHD. My ADHD symptoms of impulsivity and my advanced intellectual abilities made it difficult for me in the classroom. It also made it tough for adults to deal with me. This caused me a great amount of frustration at home and school.
I was not helped to understand what was happening with me through counseling. I was not aware of how my behavior was affecting those around me. I needed to be spoken to directly and frankly about my ADHD diagnosis and giftedness by a trained child psychologist or whatever they are called. I missed out on knowing what was going on. The doctors were very excited about a new diagnosis of ADHD. Back in the 80's ADHD was a new condition and they were proud that they had great options like Ritalin that would make things all better. The jump to medication as the primary ADHD treatment was too quick. I believe that counseling for my family and I would have made a vast improvement in our lives. Having the ADHD medication and the counseling at the same time would have created a real understanding while releasing the pressure on my family, my teachers and most importantly, Me.
Plan and Understand!
My parents, teacher, doctors and I didn't have a good understanding of all of the options for ADHD treatment. Because of that it took years for me to take control of my ADHD symptoms.
You can do it right now. Get a head start to success. Take time and get acquainted with the information on ADHDaction.com. It is here to help you make the best choices and take control of your ADHD.
