Famous People with ADHD

It is really exciting to think there are famous people with ADHD. Many famous personalities seem so hyperactive and during interviews. They burst out with the funniest things to say. It is easy to see the symptoms of ADHD in these people. They have lives of fame and fortune and success.

If they can do it, then I can do it!

It is easy to get to know movie stars and comedians because they're always on screen, doing interviews and at fancy parties. Other famous people with ADHD are known strictly for their successes, like scientists and athletes.

Symbols of Success

I always want to know who the famous people with ADHD are. It is like a symbol of success for me. It makes me think I can use my symptoms of ADHD as strengths to help me in life to be successful like they have.

The biggest name in recent times with a confirmed diagnosis of ADHD is Michael Phelps. He is the most winningest Olympian of all time and he has ADHD. He used his symptoms of ADHD to be the best swimmer in the world and of all time!
I think he is an amazing symbol for me and for all of us with a diagnosis of ADHD. Michael Phelps is a concrete example that we can climb to the highest height of anything to set our minds to.

Ty Pennington from TLC’s Trading Spaces and the host of television's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has explosive hyperactivity. He appears to be driven by a motor. He was diagnosed with ADHD and it is exciting to watch him rev people up with all of his excitement. He uses his symptoms of ADHD for good and with such success.

Comedian Howie Mandel host of TV’s Deal or No Deal has also come out as a person with ADHD to raise awareness for the condition.

Not sure about whether or not a famous person has ADHD?

You can look for the symptoms of ADHD in their behavior. It doesn’t matter whether they truly have the condition if they use the symptoms of ADHD for success.

Many comedians display hyperactivity and impulsivity, someone like Robin Williams with ADHD who appears to improvise humor on the spot with huge outbursts of energy. We can see that he has some of the symptoms of ADHD and uses them to create joy and laughter.

The famous scientist Albert Einstein showed symptoms of inattention throughout his childhood. He had a normal job as a patent clerk. Until he became one of the most famous thinkers of all time. There is no way to really know if he would fit a diagnosis of ADHD. We can see that some of the symptoms of ADHD were present in his early life.

I am sure that many of my heroes are famous people with ADHD

I think the greatest benefit we can get from them is to see how they've used symptoms of ADHD to propel them in life.

We can see how they used these symptoms that we were told are bad and turned them into the most powerful and useful tools to create success and happiness.

I always try to think of how I can use my symptoms to propel me into success just like they have.

It is fun and really motivating!
